Ridely Scott's classic film ALIEN opens with a shot of the USCSS Nostromo tugging a massive refinery through space, before the crew are awakened and sent to investigate an alien life signal. What followed is one of a true sci-fi classic.

The Nostromo was designed by legendary concept artists Ron Cobb and Chris Foss.
